The Columbaria
The Internal Columbarium The Columbarium, or ‘House of Peace’ comprises of sealed niches for the deposit of ashes around the walls, complete with a closing tablet for painted inscriptions. Also available are some open niches for the placement of urns. Pot plants or flowers may be brought in to be placed in these niches too. Mahogany framed leather panels are also offered in the Columbarium. Covered in dark blue leather, a gold hand-tooled inscription of up to seventy letters make these a very striking memorial option. Wooden carved panels are also available.
The External Columbarium Our external landscaped Columbarium, containing individual niches, is a feature unique to St. Marylebone Crematorium. The granite niches are left in a natural finish apart from the front-sealing tablet. This is polished to allow for the addition of an appropriate cut and gilded or black inscription. The surrounding trees and shrubs in the Columbarium Grove lend an air of peace and tranquillity to the location.
