Golders Green Crematorium

The Columbaria

The columbaria at Golders Green are among the most extensive and finest in Europe. The Ernest George Columbarium was one of the early buildings erected on the crematorium site in 1902. It has a central apse decorated with a brilliantly coloured mosaic and along its walls there are spaces for 1,700 urns and caskets. The East columbarium was built in 1911 and its five levels have small niches across every wall, containing an urn or casket. The Hall of Memory columbarium was completed in 1916.

Placement of cremated remains in a niche can be arranged to suit individual wishes and tastes.
